Book Jasper

Tell us roughly when and where. We come back with whether he is free and what it costs. It takes about a minute and there is nothing to pay to ask.

Step 1 of 3 · The occasion

Pick the closest one. It helps us work out what he should do on the day.

Choose one so we know what we are quoting for.

We need a date, even an approximate one.

Tell us where, so we can work out travel.

Indoors or outdoors, whether there is a step free route, and whether there is a power point nearby.

Please tell us your name.

We need a valid email to send the quote to.

We use your details only to answer this enquiry. Nothing is shared and nothing is sold. Privacy.

That is with us

Jasper is better at dancing than at email, so a human will come back to you. Usually the same day, and always within one working day, with availability and a price.

Before you ask

The questions everyone asks

What does it cost?

Every booking is quoted, because no two rooms are the same. Travel, how long he is on his feet, how many units you want and whether it is indoors all move the number.

Send the form and you will have a real price back the same day, not a range.

Is he safe around children?

Yes, with the rules we bring. He is always attended, we hold a space around him, and photographs start with no contact and no arm movements until the operator is happy.

He is heavier and stronger than he looks, which is exactly why we work this way.

Can he really talk to people?

Yes, and live rather than from a script. Someone can speak to him in another language and he will answer in it. He needs an internet connection for that, so tell us if the venue has poor signal.

How long does he perform for?

A typical booking is two hours on site. He works in bursts rather than continuously, because a crowd gathers for a dance and then stays for conversation.

We will plan the rhythm with you so the busiest part of your day gets the best of him.

What if it rains?

Light drizzle is usually fine. Standing water is not, because a wet surface and a walking robot do not mix.

If the forecast turns we will tell you early and move it rather than risk it.

Do you need anything from the venue?

A level four by four metre space, a power point, and step free access. If there are stairs or a small lift, tell us at this stage rather than on the day, because it changes which unit we bring.

Can he hold things or hand things out?

No. His hands rest on things rather than grip them, so he cannot carry a tray, hold a glass or hand over a leaflet. It is the one thing people expect that he genuinely cannot do.

There is usually a way to get the same effect, so tell us the idea and we will work out whether it is possible.

Who actually turns up?

Jasper is built and maintained by Extend Robotics in Berkshire. Appearances are run by ElevateX Solutions Ltd, who handle the booking, the crew, the insurance and the filming.
